Hardcoated vs Non-hardcoated
Hardcoating allows extra scratch and chemical resistance for applications that typically endure constant exposure to water such as in the bath or shower.
This hardcoating is similar to what you would have on your phone.
Typically kitchen splashbacks do not require such a product.
if the panel is intended for a markerboard application, hardcoating is definitely recommended to allow easy cleaning and avoid ghosting of the marker pens.
Tested for 20,000 cleans
We take testing very seriously.
We know this is a blurry image - it was vibrating at a high rate
We tested the hardcoating up to 20,000 cleans with a microfibre cloth, rubber squeegie and a brush.
After 20,000 cleans the test results show that there was a minimum of 20% hardcoating left.
